Kass and I live our life believing anything is possible. That's why we spend our days bringing to life crazy ideas. And that's why we support Jen and her efforts each year. Though it may sound crazy today, we both believe with all our conviction that cancer is indeed curable. And our best hope rests not with governments and large institutions but with scrappy entrepreneurs, marketers, researchers, fundraisers, patients and innovation centers like Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
If you've donated already, thank you! If you donate again, I'll like you twice as much. I promise. To get us to like you even more, go here http://COM.us2.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=4036d1b0c8848f28e0f122463&id=5826bfc332&e=d166b52bcf
If you haven't donated and want to, please do so today as only money donated today will be counted toward this year's total. Here is the link to donate http://COM.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=4036d1b0c8848f28e0f122463&id=594a382e29&e=d166b52bcf
So far this year we have helped raise more than $4M, making Cycle for Survival by far the largest one-day event in Sloan Kettering's history. We have another day to push the amount higher. The Buddy Media team is atop the leaderboard, raising a whopping $127,000 and counting!!! It was a team effort with more than 700 individual donations and counting.
My good friends Seth Meyers from SNL and Jen Linn, founder of Cycle for Survival, appeared on yesterday's Rachel Ray Show (yes, Rachel called Jen a hottie!!!). You can check out the clip and a backstage interview on my Facebook profile: http://COM.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=4036d1b0c8848f28e0f122463&id=58937e1bf5&e=d166b52bcf . It's very funny and heartfelt and gives you a great idea of what the event is all about.
Lastly, if you are available tomorrow morning between 8 AM and 12 noon, pls do stop by the actual event and check it out (all the bikes are filled!). The location is:
Equinox Graybar
420 Lexington Avenue (at 44th Street)
New York, New York 10170
50+ Buddy Media team members will be there. Seth will be waking up early after tonite's live show to bike. And Jen, well, she's the inspiration and soul of the day and will be right up front peddling away even though she's in the middle of her 7th all-out war with cancer. You will see how electric and inspiring the day is. We'll be at Hill Country with other riders and donors after the event for a post-event get together (12 noonish). If you'd like to attend either, pls email me so I can make sure you're on the list and can get in.
Once again, thank you for reading these emails and putting up with and supporting Kass and my fundraising efforts. My hope is that we crush cancer in the next year and this is the last post about Cycle for Survival!
Thanks!
