The name of this post reminds me of many of my girlfriends before I met Kass (all 1 of them). Anyway, I continue.
After years of avoiding chicken on the menu, I have started ordering it everywhere I go. And I've never enjoyed eating out so much.
My preference for poultry started at Landmarc in Time Warner Center. It's right across from my office. So I eat there at least once a week (this past, I ate there twice ... once with Bernie Davis from Conde Nast and the second time with Ian Black, a new friend I met through my bro.) After a dozen or more meals there, I tried the chicken and it was awesome. I then went to Porterhouse, another restaurant at Time Warner Center that is home to many a date night with Kass. And I got it there as well and it was awesome. And whenever I go to Hill Country, I get a quarter chicken. It's moist, tender and melts in your mouth.
For a good chef to put chicken on a menu, it must be good. And if it's not, the chef is usually not great either. In addition to being tasty, a great chicken dish is healthy (provided you keep the carbs and heavy sauces away) and doesn't leave you bloated. And most importantly, chicken is usually the most inexpensive item on the menu.
So go ahead. Order chicken. Don't worry if everyone else thinks you're boring. I'll think you're beautiful.
UPDATE (12/2): Went to the Hudson Cafeteria in the Hudson Hotel. Ordered their roast chicken. Really good stuff. One reader of Lazerow.com writes me: "What's the over/under for when your chicken infatuation ends?"
